PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Assistant Controller will drive financial reporting and accounting operations ensuring Capstone Green Energy’s financial integrity, operational excellence, and innovative approach to financial management. This role embodies Capstone’s mission to make the impossible possible and think beyond the status quo by ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and forward-thinking in all financial and accounting activities.

The Assistant Controller will manage the accounting close and operations in compliance with GAAP, SEC and other regulatory requirements. They will oversee financial reporting, accounting operations including G/L, A/P, A/R, cash management. They will drive best in class accounting operations and foster a data-driven, collaborative culture. The ideal candidate will lead with analytical rigor, implement best practices, and inspire a high-performing team. This role safeguards and elevates Capstone’s reputation for innovation, reliability, and financial excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees financial close and accounting operations for a public company.
  • Prepares financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Supports preparation of Company’s Form 10Q and Form 10K, and all regulatory and compliance reporting.
  • Reviews analysis of standard costing, costing of Bill of Materials, inventory reserve analysis and actual settlement of production orders.
  • Prepares technical accounting analysis and memos as required.
  • Oversees all accounting operations to ensure end to end processes are reflected in process documentation, accounting for process activity is in compliance with GAAP, as well as other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures all accounting narratives and processes are reflected in timely documentation, including associated controls.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures; ensures effectiveness of internal controls to maintain integrity of the financial statements.
  • Manages external auditors and the quarterly review & annual audit of the financial statements for filing with the SEC.
  • Establishes and maintains the organization’s accounting policies, practices and procedures.
  • Oversees banking activity.
  • Drives process improvement initiatives to keep aligned with best practices and strategic direction of the Company.
  • Responsible for keeping the organization apprised of all financial issues pertaining to company operations.
  • Coordinates all tax preparation and tax review activities.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong technical accounting skills; deep knowledge of GAAP.
  • Operational expertise; deep knowledge of general ledger, equity accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, income tax and banking.
  • Must be proficient with spreadsheets and other applicable software.
  • Must demonstrate experience within a public company and SEC financial reporting cycles.

DEPARTMENT: Associate General Counsel

REPORTS TO: CEO

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: As Associate Counsel, you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s strategic legal initiatives while ensuring business practices align with our mission of Thinking Beyond and daring greatly to achieve extraordinary results. This position is designed for a motivated legal professional who aspires to grow quickly into a General Counsel role, providing key legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and risk management matters.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will navigate complex legal and business challenges with a focus on enabling growth, managing risk, and driving operational excellence. You will help shape corporate policies, provide counsel on critical transactions, and support a high-performance workforce in making bold, informed decisions that align with the company’s objectives. In this role, you will foster a culture of trust, constructive dialogue, commitment, and accountability, ensuring legal strategies support innovation while safeguarding the company’s interests. By collaborating cross-functionally and engaging with external counsel as needed, you will contribute to creating a legal foundation that empowers the business to turn ambitious goals into reality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial transactions, including customer and distributor contracts, vendor agreements, government contracts, research and development agreements, licensing, M&A and other complex business transactions.
  • Assist with the evolution of the Company’s Ethics & Compliance program, including developing corporate policies and developing/delivering training.
  • Provide legal and business advice and legal services as a member of the senior leadership team.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to anticipate, mitigate and appropriately balance legal and compliance risks while achieving commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with external counsel on (i) securities and corporate governance matters, including the Board of Directors’ advisory support; (ii) protecting the Company’s intellectual property portfolio; and (iii) litigation matters involving the company.

This position champions Lean methodologies, develops enterprise-wide performance optimization strategies, and empowers teams to reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and achieve business objectives. Leading with analytical rigor, collaboration, and influence, the ideal candidate coaches teams, implements best practices, and drives sustainable improvements that strengthen Capstone’s reputation for innovation and operational excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive process improvements that enhance cost efficiency, quality, and service.
  • Support first-pass yield (FPY) improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing quality.
  • Partner with EHS team, ensuring continuous improvement efforts align with workplace safety standards.
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Sr Accountant will support excellence in financial reporting and accounting operations ensuring Capstone Green Energy’s financial integrity, operational excellence, and innovative approach to financial management. This role embodies Capstone’s mission to make the impossible possible and think beyond the status quo by ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and forward-thinking in all financial and accounting activities.

The Sr. Accountant will support the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and operations in compliance with GAAP, SEC and other regulatory requirements. They will be responsible to create JEs accurately, timely and with complete support. They will support analysis and process improvements to drive best in class accounting operations and be data-driven. This role helps to safeguard and elevate Capstone’s reputation for innovation, reliability, and financial excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly/annual financial data in accordance with GAAP, company policies and best practice
    • Prepares journal entries; analysis, account reconciliations and schedules for close (monthly, quarterly, annually)
    • Prepare analysis and schedules as needed to support preparation of financial statements and filings
    • Review and revise accounting processes to ensure compliance with GAAP; company policies and best practice
    • Periodic review of business processes and ensures timely updates to SOX documentation
    • Prepare and file compliance reporting which could include state and local sales and property taxes, as well as other local jurisdictional requirements
    • Prepare monthly trend analysis, or analysis as required
    • Perform more difficult, judgmental account/transaction evaluations as needed
    • Support the preparation of the Company’s Form 10-K and 10-Q, including the financial statements, schedules and footnotes
    • Assist the Asst Controller in tax compliance work
    • Assist with other projects as needed

DEPARTMENT: Product Management

REPORTS TO: SR Director, Product Management

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Technical Trainer develops and conducts technical and related training programs demonstrating the necessary product procedures/functioning/techniques for internal employees, and external distributor technicians using both online and in-classroom formats.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, develop, maintain and deliver technical training materials and sessions. This includes presentation materials, instructor guides, hands-on exercises, exams, and course evaluations/surveys.
  • Ongoingly update or add new video/written training materials and presentations.
  • Lead all training programs for both internal uses, and for our 200-300 distributor technicians.
  • Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.
  • Interface extensively with colleagues in Customer Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales & Marketing to develop and maintain technical expertise on Capstone products, keep abreast of ongoing product development, and accurately assess customer training needs.
  • Maintain all training demonstration systems, tools, and applications.
  • Ensuring training records are maintained within the LMS database..

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive video recording and editing abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in control systems, power electronics and/or gas turbines.

  • Experience in testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and/or repairing equipment in an electrical or power generation environment is highly desired.
  • Certified in an approved instructor training program and/or minimum 2 years’ experience in training; industrial, vocational or technical training.
