Capstone Sells Two C1000s to Regatta Energy for Large California Based Natural Gas Supplier

CHATSWORTH, Calif., July 3, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Capstone Turbine Corporation (www.capstoneturbine.com) (Nasdaq:CPST), the world's leading clean technology manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, announced today that it has sold two C1000 power packages to its Southern California distributor Regatta Energy Solutions.

Capstone continues to expand its penetration of the North American oil and gas market with this order from another substantial oil and gas customer for the two C1000 power packages to be installed at a remote natural gas facility in Southern California. This is a follow-on order as the customer currently has several C65s installed at various locations in Southern California. This order is significant, however, because it is the customer's first C1000 purchase and shows an increased adoption of Capstone's clean and green microturbine solutions.
